About Safelase
In June of 2000, husband and wife team, Leon and Barbara Prete, began what was to become the most comprehensive laser training program the emerging laser industry had ever seen. The step-by-step program was methodically designed to thoroughly teach the basic concepts of Laser Hair Removal and how to best perform the procedures while maximizing client safety. During this time, the Pretes assisted with Hair Removal Techniques, a book published by the Milady’s company, a world leader in training manuals.

Two decades later, the family business has grown. With the help of their two daughters, Arielle Sprague, RN and Jaimie Prete, RN, they continue to offer their highly structured training program which has been brought to hundreds of students from around the world - in their Manhattan and Connecticut program locations as well as directly on-site at doctors’ offices.
The Safelase Cosmetic Laser Training Program is designed for MDs, APRN‘s, RNs, Licensed Skin Care professionals, cosmetologists and Electrologists (depending on the their state requirements) in the use of lasers, light-based, and radio frequency equipment.
