Recently I made the decision to expand my medical practice to encompass laser esthetics. After inquiring about laser training I was astonished to find many physicians forgo any rigorous laser training and rely on a day or two in-service offered by the laser company. In my opinion this was completely unacceptable, it required four years of study to become a board certified anesthesiologist and I wanted my laser practice to be just as credible. A brief internet search lead me to the 75 hour laser course offered by the Prete family and the SafeLase Institute. The home page discussed the course which seemed to offer just what I was searching for. The price however seemed excessive but still the brochure stated all the education we would receive including hands on training and receive laser safety officer certification. The SafeLase program seemed to offer more that any other available program so, I paid the tuition. A fantastic decision.
